Dr George Yannoulias qualified at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Shortly after qualifying as a dentist, and after obtaining his MBA degree, he started the first mobile healthcare franchise in South Africa.

The franchise consisted of fully equipped mobile dental, optometrical, audiometric and occupational health units, which delivered comprehensive healthcare services to people without access to these services. The units provided healthcare services in both the private and public sectors. At the same time, he owned and ran a private dental practice just outside Johannesburg which focused on children’s dentistry, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Dr Yannoulias is experienced in complex restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry including full mouth rehabilitations, dental implants, porcelain veneers, multiple crowns and bridgework, removable prostheses and endodontics.

He has expertise in “Smile Design” and “Smile Makeovers” and is passionate about improving the lives of patients through the creation of natural, healthy-looking smiles.

He is currently the managing and principal dentist at Dental Art, which has practices located in both Beaconsfield and Denham. As a key opinion leader in CAD CAM digital technology, and as part of his commitment to providing the best possible solutions to patients’ needs, Dr Yannoulias has equipped the practices with Cerec CAD CAM technology, where inlays, onlays and crowns are made in-house in one appointment.  With regards implant treatment, other innovative new dental technologies include digital X-rays, and a CT scan which is used in implant dentistry to enhance diagnostic capabilities and surgical precision by creating precise three-dimensional views of the patients’ bone structures.

The practices also have laser, which is used in cosmetic dentistry to create beautiful smiles. As part of his commitment to creating beautiful smiles, the Dental Art group of practices are run metal-free, carrying out procedures such as veneers, bridges and fillings in either ceramic or composite resin materials.

For dental-phobic patients, including children, Dental Art run a very successful and popular Nervous Patients’ Programme, where each patient’s Nervous Patients’ Programme is tailored to their specific needs.

Dr Yannoulias has developed special relationships with other key practitioners who undertake work at the practice on a regular basis. These include Specialist Orthodontists, Sedationists and Ceramists. By utilising this multidisciplinary approach, the complete, long-term needs of Dental Art patients are ensured. Dental Art is also a preferred provider for the OPRO group, and, as such, Dr Yannoulias and his team regularly visit local rugby clubs and schools to provide mouthguards to young sports men and women.
